Experience

My Background

At the age of 17, I began a diploma in Early Childhood Education, where I first discovered my interest in social emotional learning. This interest led me to pursue a B.A. in Psychology and a Master of Science in Teaching, allowing me to work in various roles within the school system—as a certified Teacher, ECE, and EA.

A Shift Toward Mental Health

During my teaching career, I was very interested in the emotional well-being of students, especially those struggling with anxiety or emotional dysregulation. I pursued a Master’s of Clinical Psychology in Education at Columbia University, with a concentration in Spirituality Mind Body Practice. During this time, I had the privilege of being mentored by one of the founders of CASEL, the leading organization in social emotional learning research and implementation.

My career path in the field of social-emotional development led me to British Columbia, where I accepted a position managing a unique school district program focusing on Self-Regulation, Attachment, Inclusion, and Learning. This specialized program supported children designated as Category H: elementary students requiring Intensive Behaviour Intervention or those facing serious mental health challenges who were no longer permitted to attend traditional school classrooms. In this role, I helped some of the most vulnerable children build self-regulation skills and slowly reintegrate back into classrooms with peers. This experience deepened my understanding of the importance of feeling emotionally safe, developing trust, and fostering self-regulation — essential foundations for a child’s ability to learn and thrive. This experience also solidified my path toward becoming a clinical psychotherapist.

Clinical Training & Private Practice

I completed my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, and worked for some time in a group practice, where I had the opportunity to support children, teens, and adults navigating a wide range of emotional struggles. This experience helped me refine my therapeutic style and deepen my confidence in working from a heart-centered, trauma-informed approach.

I felt called to open my own private practice — a space where I integrate my background in clinical training, social-emotional training, education, and spiritual studies for those who are seeking it. My approach is rooted in the belief that healing happens in safe, attuned relationships, and I aim to create that kind of environment for each client who walks through my door. I continue to grow professionally through ongoing supervision and training in a range of therapeutic approaches.

I specialize in supporting children and youth, and have a soft spot in my heart to provide care for vulnerable children. If you’re a parent unable to attain therapy for your child due to financial constraints, please check the eligibility criteria of  — The Butterfly Program 🦋 (See Services tab for details).
